The ILO index estimates exposure of occupational tasks to generative AI. It finds substantial exposure but emphasizes transformation of jobs as more likely than full automation for most occupations because many jobs contain tasks that still require human input.
Exposure is not the same as realized employment loss. Adoption, institutions, demand, organizational redesign, and technology change can all alter outcomes.
