Reproducibility and Replicability in Science
A National Academies consensus report on how replication, measurement, research design, and uncertainty affect confidence in scientific results.
Also known as NASEM reproducibility report
The report treats replication as one mechanism for increasing confidence rather than as a machine that converts a finding into certainty. It also discusses how measurement, study design, prior likelihoods, and immature methods can contribute to non-replicability.
Brain uses it to support a calibrated view of evidence: stronger evidence can change confidence while leaving uncertainty and context dependence intact.
